The simple answer is yes. But there’s a lot more to it than that. Ghosts are effective. They are the most effective security product ever brought to market. A lot of that is due to the high standards expected of installers. But its easy to use.
Will a ghost stop my remote start from working?

Will a ghost stop my remote parking from working?
As a general rule on Kia and Hyundai will allow remote parking to work. As a general rule we can make a ghost work on gearbox lock. This means the vehicle will start but will block out the gearbox or cut the engine out when the vehicle engages a gear. The catch to this is remote parking by its very design requires the vehicle to engage a gear, the ghost doesn’t know the difference between the owner trying to do it with a key or you a thief doing it with a boosted key. To err on the side of caution we must protect the vehicle. Even if that means loosing a convince feature.
How do I disarm a ghost immobiliser?
You can disarm a ghost one of three ways, one is using buttons in the car either on the steering wheel or door panel usually, you can use your mobile phone as a tag and you can buy a bluetooth tag which is encrypted to a level far higher than your car key is. The pin sequence can be anything from 3 to 20 presses long.
Does a ghost immobiliser stop your car from starting?
Ghost immobilisers can work in one of two ways, either gearbox lock or starter lock. Gearbox lock stops the vehicle from going into gear. Starter lock stops the vehicle from running. No the vehicle block exemption act of 2023 stops dealerships from refusing warranty claims due to the presence of an aftermarket security system.
How long does it take to fit a ghost?
It really depends on the vehicle and the engineer. Times range from 45 minutes to 2 hours.
