Installation specific terms and conditions
Thank you for choosing Autonox to secure and enhance your vehicle.
We appreciate your trust in us and look forward to helping you protect your vehicle with professionally installed security solutions.
To ensure the installation is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards, please read the following information carefully.
PARKING
We require suitable parking with the vehicle remaining within sight of the engineer whilst work is being carried out. If suitable private parking is not available, the engineer may suggest an appropriate nearby location such as a supermarket or public car park.
ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
The engineer will require access to the vehicle, including the ability to open doors, the boot, or the bonnet where necessary. You may be asked to reposition the vehicle to allow safe and suitable working access.
THE INSTALLATION PROCESS
When the engineer arrives, they will explain how the chosen system operates and answer any questions you may have before work begins.
If you are unsure about any aspect of the product or would like to discuss alternative options, please speak to the engineer before installation starts.
Once the installation begins, you will be asked to leave the engineer to work uninterrupted. After completion, a full handover will take place where the engineer will demonstrate the system and answer any further questions regarding operation and use.
WHY CAN’T I WATCH THE INSTALLATION?
We completely understand that your vehicle may be your pride and joy. However, due to the nature of vehicle security products, installations can only be completed in a limited number of suitable locations within each vehicle.
To maintain the effectiveness and integrity of the security system, engineers are instructed to vary installation locations wherever possible and internal audits are conducted to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Allowing installations to be observed would compromise the security of both your vehicle and those of future customers. For this reason, customers are not permitted to watch the installation process. This is in line with industry regulations and standards.
WHY DOES THE ENGINEER TAKE PHOTOS?
As part of our quality control procedures and industry standards, all installations are thoroughly documented with photographs. This helps us:
• maintain high installation standards
• support warranty claims
• verify installation quality
• maintain internal compliance records
Photographs are used strictly for documentation and quality assurance purposes and are stored securely in our database.
HOW LONG DOES INSTALLATION TAKE?
Most installations should take no longer than two hours, including the final handover and demonstration. Installation times may vary depending on the vehicle and the system(s) being fitted.
WHY CAN’T I HAVE A SPECIFIC APPOINTMENT TIME?
At Autonox, we believe in looking after our engineers properly. We simply couldn’t provide the service we offer without them, and our engineers are fantastic people.
As we offer mobile installations across a wide coverage area, our engineers spend a significant amount of time travelling between appointments and can be affected by motorway traffic, road closures, delays, fuel stops, meals, and comfort breaks throughout the day.
For this reason, we provide estimated arrival windows rather than exact appointment times. This allows engineers the flexibility to safely manage their routes, account for delays, and maintain installation quality without rushing jobs.
Where possible, we may also ask engineers to accommodate additional installations in the same area to maximise efficiency and reduce unnecessary travel time.
We appreciate this may occasionally be less convenient than a fixed appointment time, which is why we offer installation at your home or workplace any suitable location convenient for you to minimise disruption to your day. Our engineers will contact you to give you an ETA as soon as possible.
If you need to change the location of the install, please get in touch with us.
Any problems after your install or appointment?
